Seduced by a Lady in Red

Kestrel Lady in Red 6 th Edition The attractive label on the bottle was designed by marketing students at Columbia Basin College in Pasco , Washington, http://www.columbiabasin.edu/ The clever design has been a great success for Kestrel. Even so, I never sought out the label and usually avoided it entirely. Until now. My wife is famous for bringing home wine, "I would never purchase" and once again she's made a marvellous selection. Wow, it's good. Raspberry jam, with a touch of marmalade on the nose, medium heavy, cherry vanilla, a truly vibrant wine, with firm tannins , a bit of oak, which works for me, some sedimentation, deep garnet in color. Good cherry cola hang time on the finish. I enjoyed this bottle over three days. Day one, the wine was immediately easy to appreciate, the flavors and tannins were more intense, and held up through day two and by day three the wine had smoothed out a lot, but still had a lot going on. Catch the Crush 2008 - Columbia Valley

It's almost that time again for Catch the Crush! September 27 & 28, 2008 This is a terrific way to taste some fantastic wine. Join the Columbia Valley wineries in celebrating harvest and crush at the 22nd annual "Catch the Crush" event in the heart of Washington's wine country. Each of the wineries offers its own celebratory events including grape stomps, harvest and crush activities, winery tours, free run juice, hors d’oeuvres, live music, and of course – wine tasting! Don’t miss out on the beauty of the Indian Summer in the Columbia Valley vineyards and our great wines on special this weekend. Columbia Valley wineries will be open from 10 am to 5 pm both Saturday and Sunday (some open later so check winery pages for hours). Please bring your own glass, or purchase the optional VIP ticket that includes a glass.
