Maryhill will also be celebrating with its annual Spring Release Weekend, March 29 – 30 (10am-6pm), with the release of eight new varietals, including the 2012 Sauvignon Blanc, 2011 Grenache and 2013 Rose', and case specials on past vintages.

There will be free live music from 1pm - 5pm on the scenic terrace, featuring Portland Groove Collective (3/29) and Sonic Light Brigade (3/30), and delicious bites available for purchase from The Glass Onion.

About Maryhill Winery
In 1999, Craig and Vicki Leuthold established Maryhill Winery. In 2000, the Leutholds began construction on their winery just west of Maryhill Museum on a bluff overlooking Gunkel Vineyard, one of the state’s oldest and most established vineyard sites.

If you live in the Pacific Northwest, it's not difficult to visit Maryhill Winery. An easy 100 mile drive along I-84 from Portland, Oregon and for me the drive from the Tri-Cities, in Washington is almost a two hour drive along highway 14; easy to navigate and just twisty enough to make it fun.

2 Badger Mountain Organic NSA Red Wines Reviewed

Some of you prefer organic food, but have you tried organic wine? I had a great experience at a red wine tasting at Badger Mountain Organic Vineyard and Powers Winery. Mickey Dunne, winery Owner and Sales Director, was my host. I was delighted by the Badger Mountain Organic NSA wines. It all made perfect sense. Spirit Review: Ole Smokey Tennessee Moonshine White Lightnin' @OleSmoky

Today I have crossed the line from wine to spirits. At 100 proof the Ole Smokey Tennessee Moonshine is definitely turning up the volume (ABV 50%). "Moonshine, white lightning, mountain dew, hooch, and Tennessee white whiskey are terms used to describe high-proof distilled spirits, generally produced illicitly...The word "moonshine" is believed to derive from the term "moonrakers" used for early English smugglers and the clandestine (i.e., by the light of the moon) nature of the operations of illegal Appalachian distillers who produced and distributed whiskey."
